On 24 April 2018, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (the Exchange) published the Consultation Conclusions on a Listing Regime for Companies from Emerging and Innovative Sectors. The relevant new chapters and amendments to the Main Board Listing Rules and guidance letters have come into effect on 30 April 2018, which allow the listing of:
‧Biotech companies that do not meet any of the financial eligibility tests of the Main Board
‧High growth and innovative companies with weighted voting right structures
‧Qualifying Issuers seeking a secondary listing on the Exchange
In this seminar, the speaker will introduce the amendments to the Listing Rules and share his views on how the new regime is going to impact new economy companies and the capital markets. The speaker will also cover other recent capital markets regulatory changes.
