Putting in place proper books and records is no doubt one of the most common challenges faced by companies.  It is vital for corporations to understand appropriate ways to keep proper books and records which best suit their businesses, in order to avoid any disputes with or penalty imposed by the Inland Revenue Department.  In addition, proper books and records provide a solid foundation for evaluation of up-to-date performance and formulation of future strategies.  Further, to comply with the statutory requirements under the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance, accounting records maintained by a company must be sufficient to show and explain the transactions incurred by the company.

In this webinar, our speakers will cover the types of accounting records usually requested by the IRD, typical problems encountered in the IRD enquiry process and good practices as well as benefits from management perspective on bookkeeping with real-life case sharing.  They will also share the relevant statutory requirements in relation to accounting record-keeping under the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance.
