On 1 April 2023, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) launched enhanced e-filing services for profits tax returns alongside with new features and filing modes to promote tax digitalization and to enhance the efficiency, reliability and accuracy of return filing. The new e-services include e-submission of all supplementary forms and other forms in XML format, e-submission of supporting documents in iXBRL format, semi-electronic filing of profitstax returns, IRD iXBRL Data Preparation Tools for converting financial statements and tax computations into iXBRL data files and etc.
Our speakers will walk you through new features of the enhanced e-filing of profits tax return services and filing modes; give a step-by-step demonstration to show the process of downloading supplementary forms and other forms, completing, saving,uploading the required forms in XML format electronically and printing the control list; provide guidance on steps of completion and submission the profits tax return online;and demonstrate the process flow of IRD iXBRL Data Preparation Tools from installation to generation of iXBRLfinalised package.

Ms Chan is the Assessor (Special Assignment) of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department. She is engaged in the development of the IRD iXBRL Data Preparation Tools .
Ms Choco Chan, Assistant Assessor (Special Assignment), Inland Revenue Department
Ms Chan is the Assistant Assessor (Special Assignment) of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department. She is engaged in the development of the IRD e-filing of profits tax return services.
Mr Tim Kui, Tax Manager, PwC
Mr Kui is the tax manager of PwC. He actively participates in the system development of the IRD iXBRL Data Preparation Tools.
