The Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC) has issued their 2024 Annual Investigation and Compliance Report (Report) published on 28 August 2024. The Report is now available for access on the AFRC's website (English version / Chinese version).
The Report, covering the period from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024, provides an overview of the work of the Investigation and Compliance Department and highlights our achievements under the theme “Regulatory Synergy: Upholding Financial Reporting Quality”.
The Report aims to enhance market awareness of the importance of high-quality audits and financial reporting. We share our significant findings and observations from our investigation and enquiry functions and offer guidance to key stakeholders, including auditors and preparers of financial statements for listed issuers, to nurture the profession and promote the healthy development of the financial ecosystem.
