In promoting the theme of “New Industrialization” in Hong Kong, the HKSAR Government has recently introduced a number of funding programs to support companies to transform their operations through adoption of smart technologies and digital upskilling, focusing on industries including but not limited to manufacturing, R&D, life science, TMT, food production and new energy.

In this seminar, our guest speakers will provide an update on the latest development, with specific use cases on how companies can leverage these initiatives to expand their production operations. We will also share the latest technology trend in tax and finance.

Dorothy Lee is a partner at Operations Excellence Solutions, with over 20 years of experience in supply chain management, transformation projects, and lean manufacturing reforms. She has been involved in optimization projects for multinational corporations in regions such as China, Hong Kong, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Bangladesh, dealing with lean operation models and design, supply chain business process analysis, product cost analysis, information system implementation, and comprehensive solutions from strategy to execution. She also matches clients with suitable Hong Kong government funding programs, assists them in applying for funding, and manages funds to help achieve business growth. Dorothy is proficient in strategic value stream transformation, supply chain business restructuring and technology adoption, lean Six Sigma, and innovative reform project management.

Henry Leung | Director, PwC

Henry Leung is a Director leading the technology practice in Tax Reporting and Strategy. He has more than 20 years of IT experience covering software development, business analysis, solution design, and project management. He helps clients in digitally transforming their business through designing technology roadmaps, implementing self-service automation solutions and digital upskilling programs. He also leads the implementation of Pillar 2 analytics and explores ESG reporting automation for clients in Hong Kong and Singapore. Henry specializes in project management, process improvement, and solution implementation.

Kenneth Poon | Senior Manager, PwC

Dr. Kenneth Poon is a Senior Manager at the Operations Excellence Solutions, with over over a decade of experience in providing information technology and operation enhancement solutions for the clients in various industries, including but not limited to R&D and manufacturing, consumer and retail, as well as transportation and logistics. He has been assisting companies in establishing and implementing operational improvement projects, such as business process analysis and reorganization, product cost analysis, supplier evaluation and selection, overseas factory operation analysis and recommendations, non-value-added operation combing and optimization, production line process audit and improvement, incentive system design and implementation, IT solutions design and deployment. He also supported the companies to assess the potential R&D projects/activities from engineering perspective and delivered various digital upskilling training courses covering digital tools of UiPath, Alteryx, Power BI, Google Looker, and Power Automate.
