Introduction: Satellites provide a unique view of the Earth, helping us understand important changes in the environment. These observations have enhanced our understanding of climate change and enabled us to make better choices for managing the environment. Professor Su's research is at the forefront of developing a satellite program that helps monitor the environment, warn about disasters, support smart cities, and promote sustainable development.

This webinar will cover the HKUST-FYBB#1 satellite, the upcoming HKUST carbon satellite mission, and ongoing research projects that use satellite data to create positive social and economic impacts. The HKUST satellite program, developed by Professor Su's team, aims to leverage the latest satellite technology to provide valuable data and insights that can guide effective environmental policies and actions, contributing to a more sustainable future for everyone.

Additionally, Professor Su will present the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Calculation and Estimation Tools, highlighting their free access and user-friendly interface. She will discuss how these tools can support SMEs in calculating and estimating their emissions, facilitating sustainability reporting and decarbonization efforts.
