AWAHK Appointed as an Official Volunteer Group for the 15th National Games

The journey towards becoming an official volunteer group for the 15th National Games commenced in August 2024, when AWAHK began recruiting volunteers from among our members. With a minimum requirement of 20 volunteers, we sought passionate individuals who demonstrated positivity, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to dedicate three to five days of service.
Under the leadership of President Jasmine Lee, together with Vice Presidents Karen Au and Connie Lai, interview sessions were conducted in November 2024, leading to the successful formation of our volunteer team. The team, which also includes Vice President Pauline Wong and Chair of Community Services Committee Lily Kwok, promptly commenced both online and physical training sessions to prepare for the various volunteer duties ahead.
Our application was officially published in February 2025, and following the provisional appointment in March 2025, Vice President Connie Lai, alongside Jennie Ma and Donna Li, represented AWAHK at a key Volunteer Sharing Session. The session addressed topics including media response protocols, National Games regulations, and event scheduling, ensuring our team’s readiness and full compliance with official guidelines.
Between April and June 2025, team members diligently completed all required preparations, including obtaining volunteer photo cards and attending a comprehensive programme of eight online and two physical training sessions.
All efforts culminated on 31 July 2025, when AWAHK was officially recognised as a Group Volunteer for the 15th National Games.
To celebrate this significant milestone, AWAHK representatives Jasmine Lee, Donna Li, Jennie Ma, and Lily Kwok attended the Volunteer Pledging Ceremony for the 15th National Games on 14 September 2025.
Meanwhile, we are also pleased to announce that AWAHK volunteers will serve at the Track Cycling event, to be held at the Tseung Kwan O Velodrome from 13 to 17 November 2025.
Together, we will present Hong Kong at its finest and support a Games that will be remembered for years to come. Let’s showcase the best of Hong Kong to the world!
