IRD: Electronic Block Extension Scheme (e-BES)

The Inland Revenue Department will implement full adoption of e-BES. Starting from 1 April 2026, tax representatives will be required to submit their block extension applications or notifications electronically through the online Block Extension service provided under the Tax Representative Portal in respect of their clients’ Profits Tax Returns and Tax Return – Individuals.

The full adoption of e-BES brings the following benefits: - Dispense with the pre-registration requirement - Provide instant acknowledgement - Allow application for up to 30 file numbers in one single transaction
