The fact that both the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman of HKGCC are women accountants reflects the tremendous opportunities available to women as long as you are well prepared for the challenges!”

Message from Agnes Chan, our past Council member who was also one of our speakers at our “Dare to Dream – Bold for Change” Series in 2016: “Dear ladies, I’m honored to be elected the Deputy Chairman of HKGCC, and be given this opportunity to assist in connecting the local business community with the international businesses and the new Government in relaunching HK. As HK continues to transform and innovate, there are immense opportunities for women like us to serve in various leadership role. Nothing is impossible, only if we dare to dream.”

We understand that over the course of its 160-years of history, HKGCC has elected 91 chairmen to steer the organization. Betty is the second female chairman in its history; and this is the first time when both the Chairman and Deputy Chairman are women! Hooray for our two esteemed members! We are so proud of you ladies! Betty and Agnes are role models and aspiration for many of us and we are grateful for their immense support of AWAHK’s missions all these years. We wish them the very best in these remarkable appointments at HKGCC and look forward to working together for the betterment of Hong Kong and our profession.
